Prayer consist of talking to God with in plain simple words everyday. It is not cursing while praying, it is not swearing while praying to God. God is a Holy God and the Word tells us to put away all filthy communication. He tells us we should have a contrite spirit and a clean heart.
Come before God with a humble spirit. Ask God to forgive you (repent) of the things you have said, acted out or even thought but have not spoken it out loud. We must come into his presence with a heart of thanksgiving. Praise him for the things he has brought you out of or saved you from when in danger, or prevented from happening to you.
Cast your burdens on him (tell him about all of your problem), ask him to show you what to do, how to go through it, and how to handle the problem. Look for God to give you the answer or solution to your problem. Prayer is simple and is as easy as talking to a friend. He is a God who listens and hears our cry. You must let him become part of our daily lives. You must have a mind to change your ways that are contrary to his Word because he died so that you can have eternal life.
Things begin to change when you pray when you put all of these steps in place in your life. Prayer makes a difference and all you must do is believe that God will honor your prayer.
