FACING FEAR
If you ask every age group about how do they feel about fear, everyone has a different story. Fear brings some people into a cold sweat. It will captures you if you allow it to dominate your mind and it will lock you into a place that will take away your breath; cause you to see things that only exist in your mind and bring you into a low place which can bring forth depression, sadness, hopelessness, and unhappiness. This never feels good to become a prisoner of your own negative thoughts.
Some people fear being in the dark, the thought of snakes, spiders, scorpions, even taking a ride in a car across high bridges. Fear will even cause you to have anxiety just walking into shallow waters, unable to get into deep water, unable to ride in a plan and can paralyze you that you can't ride a bike. There are numerous things that can cause people to have anxiety fear of not being in control. Some people can become so fearful that it brings them to a place of fear where they become speechless and freeze up. These are terrible places to be in when it all starts in the mind.
What do you do when you are face to face with no hope?
There is always hope when you look to God. There is always a positive side to every situation. We must learn to dwell in the positive mindset to see all possibilities in whatever we face. God always meets our needs when we surrender everything to him.
How do you handle bad new? Whether it is your health, issues with family members, or even a love one; how does the news affect you? No one likes bad news. Some people go into depression, stay upset and miserable, some people cry and withdraw into a corner and can't face facts of bad news.
No one wants to see a love one suffer and especially when there it is out of our hands. This is when we must learn how to deal with the matter and instead of looking at it from the natural side, we must look at on the spiritual side.
First of all, the Word of God tells us that God has not given us the spirit of fear. So when we know where the source of the problem comes from we can face it because we know it did not come from God.
Second, there are always two side to a coin. So in every situation there is a good side and a bad side. The question is: Which side of the coin do you prefer to dwell on?
Philippians 4:8 gives us clear instructions on how to stay positive.
Fret not about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving in your requests to be made known unto God. So these are the things you should think on:
Whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue (anything good about it) and if there be any praise, think on these things.
This scripture will pull you out of anything, if you act upon the instructions given. There is no way you can think about something bad and good at the same time. Whatever you choose to dwell on that will be the results you will receive.
So change your thinking and think on the positive and give the negative to God.
