Intercessory Prayer

Intercessory prayer is an act of solem request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God on the behalf of someone else, a love one or anyone in need.

Seeking God for an answer when it is done with sincerity and from the purity of you heart can bring forth joy, peach, healing in your spirit and your soul.

Intercede is when you are crying out on the behalf of others to God to bring forth change, blessing, fellowship with God.

When we intercede in prayer it can requires us to spend countless time in prayer. The time we spend in prayer can last 30 minutes to 2 hours in prayer or more. Learning how to yield yourself and time to God when you are in prayer is difficult for some because they are only use to talking to God and getting up and going about their day. The key to intercessory prayer is submitting to the spirit of God and allowing him to speak to you once you have emptied yourself out to him.

This is when we hear from heaven when we learn how wait on him in prayer. Your deliverance, healing, strength and joy when you wait seeking to hear his voice or him speak to you after laying before him in prayer.

Giving of yourself, your time in prayer is so beneficial. You not only gain all of the attrbutes shown above but there is a spiritual endowmnent God empowers you with that can't be gained any other way.

Some things come by prayer and fasting. In order to gain the spiritual things of God, you will find that we have to give up some things in order to reap the benefits in the spiritual realm. Tapping into the spiritual realm requires us to spend time with our Saviour. Even Jesus spent time with God in prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, He is our example that we need to spend time in prayer with God to receive spiritual guidence, wisdom, and knowledge.

When we go to God in prayer, we should ask him to stablize our walk, order our steps, give us clarity and direction when we are in the midst of trouble or adversity. Then wait on him in a humble spirit for his directions.

It is God who gives us peace in him. Start building a relationship with God by spending time with him in prayer. Learn to pray for others and those who misuse, hurt or harm you. So much spiritual strength is gained when you do it the way the bibles tells us.
