How Clearly Are You Seeing?

There are times when obstacles are placed in our path, and we feel pressured and frustrated with what life brings into our lives. In this season, it may cause confusion, lack of concentration, loss of focus and bewilderment in our spirit. The common statement you will hear is: "I can't think straight", or I don't know what to do". The best thing for you to do when you are in this state of mind is to not make any major decisions. When you can't see the situation clear enough to make the best decision it is better to wait than to be sorry.

If you have someone who is business minded that you trust who can help you clear your thoughts, then talk to them. They can help you by showing you the options/choices you have before you move forward. The Bibles tells us: '"Stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord, in other word, there are some situations where you just need to wait, slow down your horses and look at it another day. When we make decisions and our sight is not clear we make the wrong deicision and have regrets.

There are many types of obstacles that can prohibit us from reaching our potential:

First, self - we are the ones who stop ourselves achieving our goals. We think we do not have all of the skill or meet the requirements, but you went to college and have a degree which qualifies you for the position. We hurt ourselves because we do not believe in who we are and the potential we possess.

Second, once we have completed certified training, or a degree and seek employment in the workforce this is when we find there are no openings for the position we have been trained to do or we are not the type of person they are looking for for the position. Now we must take a position that is not in our field that we studied and the pay is at the bottom of the scale. This is only the trick of the enemy to discourage us, to cause you to lose hope and to change our focus so disappointment can overtake you. Learning how to look past the present and continue to pursue after our dream is the main thing we should stay focus on because the end product is greater than the beginnings.

Third, everytime we apply and interview for a position, now we must deal with being told we do not have experience in the filed or we are not a good candidate for the positiobn. If we have the training and the experience in the field we must also listen to being we are over qualified for the position. Don't let discouragement come in, this is just a set up for a better position. God does not want you locked into something you will be miserable doing. Be patient, learn to wait for God to provide the opportunity (create the position for your or you to start the position) so you can receive the blessing he has for you.

Most people will see this as a bad deal and not fair and have a bad vibe. What they do not know is the best time for OPPORTUNITY to change their lives. We must look at the whole picture in a different light and see the positive side of the coin. When the World says "No", God say, " Yes".

Now it's time to start searching and look at your passion, the things you love to do and figure out how can you apply what you love to the skills you have been trained to perform. This will take you down a different road you had originally planned. Ask yourself: What kind of opportunity is there for me?, Is it entrepreneurship? Should I start my own business? Can I use my training to work in an organization? Even if I have to start out volunteering so I can see the availability and then transistion into a position to use my degree. Should I starting tax service, accounting business, working in Non-Profit, or Fundraising Business to see other areas to branch out into to achieve my goal? We must look at options that we would never think of looking at in order to align us for the position. This road block has come not to stop you, but it is there because God wants you to step up and step out on Faith (think outside of the box and create a position for yourself), and do something that you will be the lender and not the borrower.

The scriptiure says, "There is no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: But God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" I Corithians 10:13.

I want to talk about the clause "but will with the temptation also make a way of escape". If you have given up, or stopped pursuing your dream or become miserable in the state you are in, because you were told there was no position. Then you have lost your perception and you are not seeing clearly. You must be pursuing your dream with every thing within you. If God makes a way to escape and you have lost your focus, then how will you find it (opportunity); if you are not looking for the way of escape (opportunity to step into your dream), then you have missed your dream.

Then he tells us -" that ye may be able to bear it". There are times when we feel we can't bear what we are dealing with in our life, but God says, we can bear it - so until opportunity becomes available he tells us you can bear it (the place, the job you are in or you feel stuck in ). Put your focus on your purpose and reason for getting a higher education, then watch for someone or something to happen to open that door for you. You can go through it because while you are waiting to transistion; he is doing something on the inside of you, changing your attitude, changing you perception of how to handle disappointments and not receiving everything your way. Once you learn to handle how to perceive and handle life's challenges correctly, then you are ready for the opportunity to be revealed in your life. Another lesson we must learn is how to be content in whatsoever state we are in, until God makes provision and creates opportunity for us to escape and walk into our destiny. It is about all us maturing in God and walking according to his word so we handle every challenge in Victory.

Opportunity is an open door. God is the one who opens the door for us. We must seek God and ask him to show us what to do and after he shows us pursue and achieve our goal. The Word of God says, When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard. When every way is closed with the natural eye, God will create a way for you to be able to walk into the position you trained to do or that you are suppose to receive. He never goes back on his Word.

Don't let little hinderances stop you from pursuing your dream. Think outside of the box and pursue your destiny. God always allows opportunities to knock on our doorstep. We must learn how to be more opened minded and seek the mind of Christ to be able to walk into what God has prepared for us. Remember, opporunity is always there in the midst of chaos, we must ask God to open our eyes so we can see the OPPORTUNITY that will change our life.
