Benefits of Mistakes

Have you ever thought about the affects that mistakes have in our lives? We assume when we make a mistake or an error that we have messed up or we have failed God. The enemy wants us to lose hope and feel like a failure and we can never do better. We ask God for forgiveness and forgive ourselves so we can walk in Victory! Perception is to key to everything.

However, we may have missed the mark on this round but mind you this, do not lose focus. The test is not over. You know how when you take a test in school and you do not make a good grade, they always come back and allow you to do a make up test or retake the test. Well, God always gives us another opportunity to pass the test. It is all about how we view a matter, this affects how we approach the situation and when we will pass the test.

When you understand this, you already have the victory! This is when you will start defeating the devil! Mistakes have benefits and can be a blessing to us. I know you want to know how can mistakes be a blessing to us? Please understand, I am not saying it is okay to make mistakes, especially purposely make mistakes. We know sometime mistakes happen because we do not have the knowledge to prevent it from happening. We are not perfect, so there are times we will not make the correct decision. I know this question came across your mind when I spoke it to you. Let me help you view mistakes differently! We must learn that we can gain something from each experience we face in our lives if we keep this in mind. We are quick to beat ourselves up when we have failed when going through a test. We must learn to give ourselves another chance by learning to see other avenues in how we can approach a matter; and we can only approach it different when we seek God so he can show us how to gain the resources, to see the nuggets in the test that will prepare us for the next test.

WHEN These test that comes our way, guess what they are coming to show us WHO we are, Where we stand and to teach us how we must learn how to TRUST GOD, BELIEVE he is MORE THAN ABLE, HOW TO STAND no matter how bad it looks, no matter if everyone gives up on us, will we still believe and trust GOD, it show us (makes us exercise our FAITH TO KNOW HE is with us and will never leave us nor will HE forsake us, it reaches us PATIENCE - we must wait on him while going through and while we are waiting for him to manifest it in our lives, we must learn how to PRAISE, WORSHIP HIM, while he is making us into a new vessel, LOVE in the midst of the storm and KNOW HE WILL DELIVER US IN OUR TIME OF TROUBLE. Now, let's take a look at things from the positive side since we know how to look at it from the negative side.

Perception:

Everything we experience is leading us to stepping stones which requires us to elevate our thinking to a higher level. We have grown up always being exposed to seeing the negative and thinking in the negative mindset. So it is easy for us to see the down side and never see the up side of any situaiton. Seeing the positive side will take the following: concentration (focus on God and not being distracted), meditation in God's Word and much Prayer (because you need to hear from God for direction), for strength, peace and understanding from the Lord so we can be better aware of what is happening in our lives. Without understanding the "why" and getting an "understanding of the reason", and the purpose of the opposition or the test, we can never gain wisdom. Understanding the purpose or the reason for it happening is the key to the whole matter.

Understanding:

Crisis, trouble, shakeups, misunderstandings, disappointments and dilemna's come into our lives to show us who we are in Christ, so we can see first hand, how we can and must handle or approach a matter for it to be resolved properly. Ask yourself: Is there a better way to approach my tests or trials when we are confronted with them? Are we really seeing the issue, the whole picture or are we blind sided by all of the dramaof the matter that we miss the whole purpose?

The Bible states in Proverbs 4:1-. 4, 5:

Let me explain the scripture in simple words: We must learn how to understand the opposition we are facing as God sees it. First, what is the opposition doing to us? Did it move me out of my comfort zone or out of the peace of God? Next, while in the batte, did it stop me from reading the Word of God? Did it get all of my attention that I am now so caught up on the flesh that the Spirit of God is no longer in it? After failing a test, the distraction comes to keep us out of the presence of God. We must learn how to retain his words in thine heart, (don't lose HOPE), because as long as you stay in him....ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD, then we must keep his commandments and live holy, consecrated and totally for him ( Jesus came that we might have life and that more abundantly).

Key verse: Get wisdom, get understanding and forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Do not speak the opposite of my Word, keep the Word of God on your lips and declare his Word over your situation. Death and Life is in the power of the tongue.....ye shall have what you say!

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom and with all they getting get understanding. We must get understanding or we will not approach the matter correctly, we will feel defeated and want to give up!

Mistakes:

Yes, we all mess up. We all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, Thank God for his mercy and his love that he forgives us of all of our transgressions against him (knowingly and unknowingly). In general, to be honest, we miss what God is trying to plant or seed into our spirit. It takes the Power of the Holy Ghost to open up our understanding to bring light to our gloomy dark situation, because the flesh does not want us to have victory over anything.

Thanks Be To God who has given us the Victory!!! In Christ Jesus! This is why (the flesh hindereth us) and we can we keep making the same mistake which causes us to keep going through the same situation, in several different scenarios until we understand that our approach (our ways are not his ways), is not the best way. God's steps to approaching opposition will give us Victory everytime.

We must ask God to give us the mindset to be obedience to his Word and his Will in our lives no matter how difficult the test may seem to us. Then seek him to help us to understand the Will of God and to help us to walk in the ordinances of his Word with joy, and peace. Lord, deliver our mind from evil and help us to see you in what we are going through and to Praise you as we go through with a joyful heart!

Once we repent and ask God to help us to see the light and understand what he is saying to us, then the answer will come to us. Once we surrender our attention to him and stop looking at the opposition, stop listening to the negative voice from the enemy, and people....when I see Jesus and him only in the matter, when I seek him while I am in the middle of the situation, that is when we can hear his voice and the Word of God can bring forth good fruit in us and our situation.

Once we have the full scope of the matter and we understand that this test did not come to destroy us, it came to destroy the sin that still lies within us that we do not know is there and it came to scale away the things in us that can only be stripped away from us only by going through the storm, test or the valley of the shadow of death.

God cleanses us (our spirit, our attitudes, our thought process) through his Word and sometimes when the fiery test comes, that causes us to run to the Word and to find rescue in him.

While you are in this transition, God is restoring, renewing, empowering you with his attributes and the fruit of the spirit and this can not be achieved until you go through the storm. Remember, his ways are not our ways.....he is working a far more exceeding glory inside of you that will not be reveal until you go through and come out with a heart of gratefulness. Mistakes happen to show us the area(s) we have fallen short, so we know the area in our lives we need to work on to make it into the Kingdom of Heaven. After we come out it show us what God is empowering us with so we will be able to stand in the next phase.

Reaching this conclusion does not happen overnight, you only gain this knowledge by experience (going through the storm), every stage which develops you and mature you in him so he can bring us closer to understanding and seeing much more clearly the hand of God and how he divinely orchestrates his love, compassion towards us while we are in the storm.

So do not expect a quick answer to the problem or for the problem to be resolved immediately. This is part of the learning process that we must go through in order to learn to be patient in him as God puts us on the Potter's Wheel and keeps remolding and reshaping us into the image he has called us to be in him. This is how he teaches us how to approach or look at the situation completely different each time we go through the storm. Learning, Understanding and Growing in him helps us to walk in Victory.

So never look at mistakes negative anymore.... because there is SOMETHIING POSITIVE coming out of what you are walking through. Ask God, what is it you want me to learn? Show me how to walk through this one positively. What do I need to do differently so I can pass the test? Lord, show me how to pass this test? For he told us to ask, seek and you shall find the answer. As you prepare yourself and take on his Word, you will walk in Victory more and more each day! Once we learn these things we can be more than conqueror in Christ Jesus! Every situation you face and go through, you should learn something because you will need it for the next test.
