Just when all odds are against you and you feel like there is no hope that is when we try to rescue ourselves. The problem is we have to stop trying to fix everything and allow space for God to work it out for us.
Patience is a virtue. Patience is having the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble or suffering without getting angry or upset. These are things we must seek God in prayer and ask him to help us to do it. We can't do this on our own. We need his help to walk in patience. But this is one of the fruit of the spirit that we must possess, so he knows what to do and what to allow to come our way to bring forth patience in our lives.
Only God can teach us this because our flesh never wants to wait for delay of anything. Our flesh never loves to go through trouble or suffer anything that makes us uncomfortable. So waiting on God does not come easy for some people. Our first instinct is to fix it ourselves.
When we are in a situation where we do not have enough money to purchase food, pay bills, buy gas, pay house or car note we rather go out and get credit card, or a loan to try to fix it. But when we learn to wait on God when you look at your finances with the natural eye, it won't cover what you need to do but when you give it to God and allow him to help you by showing you what to do everything gets paid. You know that it is no one but God who took your little bit and stretched to cover all of your needs.
Jesus took the five loaves of bread and two fishes and stretched it to feed the multitude. He does the same thing for us, but we must allow him to show us how to take the little bit and put it where he tells us to cover our necessities. It is imperative that we learn how to go through difficult situations. No, its not fun nor pleasant but the end product is much more effective in our life. Think of it this way, these are stepping stone to increase your faith which teaches you how to wait on God to provide for you.
One thing we must learn is God is always in the impossible situation. He will make provision for us, but we may have to tolerate and deal with the situation for a season before he delivers us. When we do this it teaches us how to be grateful and thankful once he brings us out. So when we learn to trust him and wait on him this is when he teaches us a lessons that impact our life so that we will never forget how he snatched us out of the fiery trial just in the nick of time.
I am anazed each time God brings me out of a test. He never brings us out the way we expect him. His provision reveals to us how powerful he is and his plans when he orchestrates it he alreay knows we can endure it. He allows it to come to us so he can reveal to us his strength and power he has poured into our lives.
It is unique how God makes provision for us and teaches us what we couldn't ever learn any other way. We will never understand the power of God until we allow him to provide for us!
