How To Pray an Acceptable Prayer
Most of us have either heard or read this scripture : "If we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us" John 5:4 vs.
My question to you is: "What does this scripture mean to you?" Because once you understand this scripture you will find out more of your prayers will be answered.
There is a passage of scripture that states, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked".
1. First, you must be aware that whatever God has said or promised in his Word will come to pass.
2. Second, God does not lie so we must expect him to answer our prayer.
The first part of the phrase tell us: "we can ask ANY THING." So God has not limited us in asking him for any thing, so we must learn to never put a limit on God.
The last portion of this phrase states: " According to HIS WILL".
1 Now,if we can ask anything and it is not according to his will, we will notice our prayers are unanswered and wonder why he has not answered them.
2. Second, we must find out if we meet the requirements of his will. Ask yourself:
- Are we living our lives daily according to his will?
- Are we walking according to his purpose in your life?
- Do you know what his requirements are so you can meet his will?
These are questions only you can answer once you search your heart (mind and soul) for the answer.
When we pray there is a certain way we should enter into his presence:
1, We must ask God with the right purpose,
2. We must seek him with the right attitude.
3. We must prlay to inform God
4. It is not to change God.
5. We pray to intercede for others.
When we pray we must ask in the right manner:
A. Make it simple.
B. Be Earnest when you pray.
C. Have confident when you pray.
D. Believe that it is possible.
E. See it happening and there is victory at the end.
When you follow these steps you will start seeing a change in your life.
