Consecration

Be Ye Holy for I Am Holy 1 Peter 1:17 KJV

Consecrate

There are two points:

1. It is the act of dedicating onself to the service and worship of a day.

2. To santify oneself to give service to God; to be set apart to worship and honour him.

We must learn how to santify ourselves and consecrate ourselves unto the Lord. We can only do this through the Word of God. His Word is Life and more abundantly.

Consecration is one realizing we need God in our lives and we can't live right without him. This drives us to seeking God in prayer because ofthe longing and hunger for more of him. Prayer ushers us into consecration because we must release the things of the world in order to enter into his presence. In the Bible when you entered into theTabernacle, you will find that can't just enter into the Holy of Holies, but there are requirements that you must do before you can enter into his presence.

We must receive an outer cleansing and a inner cleansing of our spirit and heart. Living with purpose to please God, consecrating and dedicating ourselves to God in all areas of our lives. Meaning we do not belong to ourselves, we belong to God. Therefore, we can't do everything and whatever we want to do because he owns us. Yes, we were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and spirit which is God's. 1 Corinthians 6:20 vs kjv

Consecration is the fruit of prayer. Prayer brings forth consecration. Constant consistent prayer is the tool which consecrates in maintaining his attitude, keeps him alive to God and aids him in doing the work of God. It helps to reveal his will and purpose to the believer. It helps to consecrate your mind so you can walk in obedience to his Word.

Once you have a taste of his presence and dwell in it through praise and worship it creates a drive to see him daily. Prayer teaches you how to enter in his presence and how to bring your cares to him. We must come before him in a humble spirit. There is a way to come into his presence and honor him. Prayer teaches you how to learn who he is and the power of prayer. There is such a blessing when we make the sacrifice to pray.

Take Time and:

1. Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2 kjv

2. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God 1 Peter 5:6 vs kjv

3. Seek God for your answers (not man).

3. Wait on him - I will wait to see what the Lord says and How he will answer. Habakkuk 2:2 kjv

When we dedicate ourself to the Lord, we must refrain from the former things we have always done before we let Christ become the head of our life. We must live according to his Word and apply the following to our lives:

Ephesian 4:22 vs. "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts." kjv

23 vs. "And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind." ljv

24 vs. "And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." kjv

29 vs. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying that it may minister grace unto the hearer." kjv

2 Peter 3:15 tells us, "Santify the Lord God in your hearts; and be ready always to give an "answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meakness and fear." kjv

1 Peter 2:7, "Unto you therefore which believe he is precious; but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed the same is ade the head of the corner.

8 vs. And the stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedinent, whereunto also they were appointed.

God is looking for the church (a holy people) that will glorify him and we must submit ourselves to him so he can make us a worthy vessel for him.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing ; but that it should be holy and without blemish" Ephesian 5:27 vs. kjv

Walking on this path reveal so many things and opens doors no man can open.
