Exercising Your Faith

Faith Without Works Is Dead James 2:26

Physical exercise is any bodily activity that enhances or maintain your physical fitness, health and wellness.

Exercising your faith requires complete trust and dependence on the Lord. By stepping out on his Word into the arena of the impossible allows him to communicate and reveal himself to us through his Word. This is where we find what we need in him, how he operates, what his will and his purpose is for our lives.

Exercising your faith in the natural you may have a big obstacle in front of you that you can't resolve. Because when your faith is strong in God you won't even see the huge obstacle that stands in your way, nor the other one that blocks your view from every direction.

There are times that we do not want to do physical exercise so it is the same with our faith. Some situations calls for us to step into territories that are not familiar. We find that fear hinders us from receiving what God has for us.

When you know the promises God has made for you, the power of God will stand up in you and cause you to rise above the circumstances with a firm assurance that God will bring you out. You can stand on his Word not only because of his promise; but because of the reassurance he give you in the midst of the adversity.

It is so amazing how God strength and power will overtake you and empower us to stand when others say it is impossible. Exercising your faith opens a door that creates the atmosphere for the impossible to change to the possible. In oeder to excercise you faith, you must walk according to his Word and trust God even when it feels like he is not there and you don't understand what he is trying to get us to understand.

Walking by faith takes us to an arena where you feel alone, abandoned, forsaken, forgotten, misunderstood, humilated and taken for granted. All of these circumstances are just avenues being worked on to perfect us in our spirit, attitudes, our thoughts and walk in Christ.

We must surrender to his will in order for faith to operate. It will not operate when we are in control or trying to fix everything ourselves. Faith is walking in hope and seeing the worst situation turn into the possible.

Key thought: Faith is the essential element needed to exercise your faith. Activating your faith grants access to a miracle to happen for you when you stand on his promises. Our faith is what sustains us through our trials. We must walk by faith and not by sight in order to be overcomers.
