Dedication to be completely devoted and have faith in someone or something. It is the willingness to put a lot of time and energy towards something you think is important. Being dedicated to a worthy cause. (Cambridge Dictionary American
English).
The Word of God informs us to acknowledge him and he shall direct our path. The reason we should acknowledge God is because we do not know the way, therefore, we error, make mistakes, get off track and become lost without his guidance. It seems that once you are off track with God, it seems so hard to get back on track because sin has separated us from him.
One thing we must remember, we are human and God knows our weaknesses; but we should not use this as an excuse to continue down the wrong path. God has given us his Word to set us free and deliver us out of sin. It takes discipline within yourself to be committed and dedicated to God. We are living in a time where everyone wants to confess God but the things that comes out of their mouth is ungodly. Flesh is reigning and ruling in so many peoples lives. We are seeing people rising against authority and no one wanting to submit to rules.
Dedication is willing to submit your will to be obedient to God no matter what. Flesh fights against everything that is right and brings peace in your life. If you do not have peace, then it is time to search your soul and find out where you jumped the track and seek God for guidance to align yourself and your life with the Word of God.
Dedication is a mindset that no matter how bad things get you will always keep in your mind that I will serve the Lord. I refuse to surrender to my flesh, whims, disobedience to God and his Word. When you set your mind to do something you can overcome anything. It really is true that whatsoever a man thinketh so is he. Your mind (what you think) determines where you go in life.
