Lord Deliver Me!
First we must acknowledge to ourselves that we need help to be delivered from our downfalls. Everyone has something that keeps popping it's head up in our life, and we have to work on ourselves daily. The Word says, we must pick up our cross and die daily. We must take steps to kill the giants in our life so that we can have peace, joy and happiness.
Jesus told the disciples to pray, "Deliver us from evil"; evil is always presence. We must make a decision to do what is right or be swayed to the ways of the world and do evil. When we pray and ask God to help us and deliver us from evil, this is when we can crucify that area of our life that we are not happy about and do not want others to know it reigns over us.
Jesus is waiting for us to ask him to come into our life and bring about a change. We can never do it by ourself. Jesus came and died on the cross so we have a chance to have eternal life. He has made provision for us; but we must be willing to accept the provision and change the pattern of our life.
Some of us have been entangled by the snares of the enemy. Drugs, alcohol, lying, deceit, stealing, fornication, adultery, dancing all night long, running from bar to bar, living with a significant other outside of marriage, worshipping other God's before we put him first in our lives.
You do not have to stay captive to these things. God can deliver you from all of these things when you come to him with a repentant heart and you are ready to change and walk away. Ask him to deliver you, find a church home and be faithful to attending to learn more about him. Love him and serve him with all of your heart and you will see him change your heart and your life.
