God Is Your Protector

Psalms 124

If it had not been for the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say

If it had not been for the Lord who was on our side when men rose up against us

Then they would have swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us

Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul

Then the proud waters had gone over our soul

Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as prey to their teeth

Our soul escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are escaped

Our help is in the name of the Lord

These scriptures make it clear to us if God had not been our protector when men came against us we would have been consumed (swallowed up). Even when their anger rises up against us and it looked like it would have over taken us because their pursuit was so strong and hard against us. But while we were in the midst of a storm another castrophe arose to overtake our soul and cause us to give in and doubt that God was able to bring us out. But we have a God that will not allow his children to suffer without coming to rescue them.

The attacks of the enemy come against from every angle to affect our mind, spirit and our soul. But God, comes to our rescue and will not allow the enemy to destroy us with his teeth. God's strength and the power of his Word brings forth liberty and strength which give us the ability to rise up out of the storm so the snares (traps) will not stop us and capture us.

His word and the anointing of God causes the snares to be broken and his liberty in the spirit allows us to escape. One thing we must realize is in every trial our help is in the name of the Lord. Only he can protect us, keep us and strengthen us and bring us out of what the enemy has purposed to bring destruction in our lives. We must stand on the Word and know that it will not destroy us. It will strengthen us and draw us closer to the Lord.

Praise be to God who gives us the victory. Remember, you will not have victories if you do not have the Lord on your side. We can't survive the devices of the enemy without the Lord's direction and protection. No matter what comes against you, when we have the Lord on your side you can over come anything.

Trials will comes, storms will arise, floods may come and it may feel as though you will be swallowed up and you are going to drown and die in the storm. But if you keep God in your heart and your mind and seek him and praise him for giving you the victory to come out with a praise you will find the enemy is already defeated.

God is our protector even when we do no feel it. He will never leaves us nor does he forsake us. So don't give up on him because he is waiting for you to cross the over through the storm so he can hold you and let you know all power is in his hands.

In your next test, stop fighting the test, stop running the opposit way and let God be your protector.
