Standing on God's Promises!

As we live, we all face different types of challenges. Some test we win and some we lose. Even in the middle of adversity we may feel like quitting or walking away because we don't want to deal with the problem or the issues any more.

But one thing I have learned, this is not the answer nor is it the way to handle the problem. The enemy wants us to walk away from a marriage that has ups and down. He wants to blow them out of proportion and impact our mind and our heart with so many negative thoughts that we feel there is no hope; it is not worth working towards resolving the matter. The devil is a liar.

Many things are worth fighting for but we just give up so easy at the first sign of trouble. We must understand, it is trouble that develops us and causes us to grow and mature. When we run away we miss out on a blessing that God is trying to give us. Nothing comes easy, we must fight to survive.

God wants us to take a look at our problems through his Word. I know it seems so hard to understand how to take the Word of God and apply it to your situation. Let me explain it the way God showed it to me.

When the doctors told me that you cancer and I needed to start chemotherapy immediately. In simple english, they were saying if the chemotherapy does not work there was nothing they could do for me.

My mind went to the bible when the men of God were about to go into battle an angel always came to them and bid them, "Do not fear, God is with you." He always sent them comfort and reassurance before the fight. He also told them take no thought of what you shall eat and another scripture he declared, "If you eat any deadly thing, no harm shall come unto you". I began to think on these scripture when they told me to start Chemotherapy. I began to declare his Word into the atmosphere, that when I take the chemo it will not bring forth death or any bodily harm to me, because Death and Life is in the Power of the Tongue. We must learn to speak positive words over our own life when we are in a place that we can't resolve the matter. (to be continued Part 2)
