Surrendered Life - Part 1

Definiition Surrendered: Yielded, submit, back down, give in, to stop fighting against what is right.

God is able to use a surrendered life in a great way! Surrendering your life to Christ involves every part of your body. Let's look at how each part of our body must be surrendered to God in Prayer.

MY LIFE:

Have you made the decision to give your life totally over to God? We must evaluate ourself to make sure we are lining up our actions with the Word and walking in obedience to his Word. The question is: Am I seeking to live a surrendered life daily? We can speak these things but the key is to live it daily. We must make a commitment to live a consecrated life for him. We must be willing to put away our childish ways, crucifying our flesh to obey God's Word. Learning how to control our temper and dismiss anger so we will be in his will. This means we must release all of our ways to him and not be reserved and only allow some of our ways to please him; but then we dismiss the commitment so we can fulfill the things in the flesh.

Satisfying ourself in the flesh with lying, cursing, drinking, dancing and allowing the flesh to do everything or anythings that does not line up with the Word of Gfod. The only way we can see these thing materialize in our life is to take them to God in prayer. He is the only one that can help us make the adjustements in our life to bring about change.

MY TIME:

Are you willing to give your time to the Lord? Do you know that all of your time belongs to God? He just gave us the freedom of choice. He really want us to give him time and yield our members as a sacrifice to him. Most people will say they give him time.

Answer these questions: Do you set apart time each time each day for worship, prayer, and personal devotion? How much time are you wasting meaningless, useless conversation or entertainment? These are things we must seek God in prayer about to help us see things the way he sees them and to help us to put off the things that hinder us from drawing closer to him.

There is so much more to cover when it comes to a surrendered life. God wants all of us! Every part of our being not just a portion of us on Sunday only or Bible Study. Daily will I serve him. Watch for Part 2 where we will cover other areas of our life God wants us to surrender to him.
